Maternity Agnes Top + Dress

Show off your curvalicious mama-to-be shape in this close-fitting top or dress. Designed for stretchy jersey fabric, it’s speedy to sew, simple to fit, and comfortable to wear.

Choose from long-line top or knee-length dress, with plain or ruched sweetheart neckline, and cropped, three-quarter or full length sleeves. The stretchy, ruched front bodice creates space for your growing bump throughout pregnancy. The top version can also be made with adjustable drawstrings to gather or loosen the fabric as your shape changes.

MODEL SIZE - Tilly wears size 3 (UK 10) at the bust graded to size 4 (UK 12) at the hips

FABRIC SUGGESTIONS - Light- to medium-weight stretch knit fabrics, such as cotton jersey, viscose jersey or wool jersey. Check that the fabric can be stretched crosswise at least 25% wider than its original width.

• Fabric – TOP: SIZES 1-4: 1.6m (1 3/4 yards) x 150cm (60in) or 115cm (45in) OR SIZES 5-8: 1.6m (1 3/4 yards) x 150cm (60in) OR 2.4m (2 5/8 yards) x 115cm (45in)
  DRESS: SIZES 1-4: 2m (2 1/4 yards) x 150cm (60in) or 115cm (45in) OR SIZES 5-8: 2m (2 1/4 yards) x 150cm (60in) OR 3.2m (3 1/2 yards) x 115cm (45in)
• Matching thread
• 25cm (10in) x 6-8mm (1/4in) wide clear elastic, ribbon or stay tape to stabilise the shoulders
• For ruched neckline version: 10cm (4in) x 5mm (1/8 - 1/4in) wide woven or braided elastic
• For drawstring version: Large safety pin
• Ballpoint or stretch needle for your sewing machine
• Sewing machine and basic tools (a rotary cutter and mat are useful)
